Iran: rationality

2 men were hanged in the prison of Hamedan on Saturday.
The men, Habib (21) and Mohammad were convicted for rape and murder of a 9-year-old girl.
Iran Human Rights underlines that the charges mentioned in the report are not confirmed by independent sources.

The court hearing for Mohsen Safayi-Farahani is postponed.
Safayi-Farahani is detained since June 20.
Reza Khademi is sentenced to death for participating in the post-election protests.
He is the fifth person who is sentenced to death in the show-trials over the election protests.
He is accused of having ties to Mojahedin-e-Khalgh Organization.
Student Salman Sima is arrested Saturday, when he left his home.
The whereabouts of studentactivist Morteza Asadi are still unknown although his case has been sent to the security branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court. He was arrested 2 weeks ago.

The Iranian police have set up a special internet-unit.According to the head of the unit Col. Mehrdad Omidi will the unit target "fraud and the spreading of lies".
Most oppositionsites are already banned or filtered, especially those linked to the defeated presidential candidates.
It is assumed that this is a step towards new suppression of the opposition.

Mehdi Karroubi and Mir-Hossein Moussavi met in Tehran last week to speak about the latest protest demonstrations held November 4 in Tehran.
More then 100 people were arrested during the demonstrations.
Both condemn the use of violence by the police.
Karroubi said that he during his 15 years of struggle with the Shah has never seen such a violent confrontation.
Also Mousavi condemned the violence used by police and security on November 4 and said attacking women protestors was 'breaking all acknowledged traditions of our country.'
Mousavi said that the Green Movement condemns suppression and violence and will not use such methods. He said they know that the power of rationality will eventually prevail over all weapons.
