Iran: verdicts

November 17 are in the prison of the city of Isfahan 2 men and a woman hanged.
Vahid Sh. (35), convicted for buying of 143g crack (narcitics), Rasoul T. convicted for keeping of 2 kg crack and Begam P., female, convicted for using and smuggling in her stomach of 500g crack.

The minor Mohammad-Hassan Rezaee is sentenced to death for a murder which he alledgedly committed when he was 17.
During a fight involving a group of people, Mahyar Alizadeh was stabbed to death. His codefendant, who has not been named, has also been found guilty and sentenced to death.
The verdict is upheld and execution is imminent.

Tuesday Tehrans prosecutor announced that 5 protestors in Iran are sentenced to death for protesting the result of the presidential election.
The names were not announced .
Three people were already sentenced to death last month for having ties with Kingdom Assembly of Iran, one of them is Mohammed Reza Ali Zamani and the People's Mujahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI).
According to the statement 89 people were tried of which 81 were sentenced with prisonsentences between 6 months and 15 years.

With a letter urged 109 humanrights organizations from all over the world the delegations to the United Nations to support a resolution in the General Assembly condemning human rights violations in the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), and urging the IRI to abide by its international human rights obligations.
The signatories include groups from Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Russia, Malaysia, India, South Africa and other non-western societies, as well as global organizations including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and International Commission of Jurists.
