The Committee to Project Journalists worldwide (CPJ) reported that online journalists and bloggers represented in December 2008 45% of all media workers in prison worldwide.
Committee to Protect Bloggers, The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information, Reporters without Borders, Human Rights Watch, CyberLaw Blog, Amnesty International, Committee to Protect Journalists, Global Voices Advocacy created a central platform.
Reuters reports that Iranian police is ready to perform handamputations according to sharia law.
According to Iranian sharialaw repeat offenders face amputation of their fingers for theft, but sentences are seldom carried out in recent years, especially in public.
The newspaper Ebtekar writes that Asghar Jafari, head of criminal police told that not carrying the Islamic punishment law, particularly its most important part that is hand amputation, spreads insecurity in Iran.
He added that police is ready to amputate the hands of convicted criminals.

November 4 raided plainclothed agents the university of Shiraz and kidnapped an unknown number of students.

At the university of Shiraz are 20 and in Mashhad are 10 students arrested.
November 3 and 4 are many people arrested, including Hasan Asadi Zaidabadi, Kouhzad Esmaeli, Mohammad Sadeghi, Hojat Sharifi and his wife Nafiseh Zarekohan.

Students at Khaje Nasir University in Tehran were arrested 4 November in their homes and their status is unknown.
Mohammad Hashemi, was arrested November 4th and after 2 hours of interrogation released.
