Iran: ban

Since July 2008, the Dutch Government has banned Iranian citizens, as well as Dutch citizens of Iranian descent, from parts of certain university graduate programs. In addition, five locations have been designated as forbidden for the latter group.
Three Dutch-Iranians and the Campaign of Iranian Students filed a complaint against the Dutch government.
December 10, at 10.30 am the court hearing is scheduled at the Palace of Justice in The Hague .
Members of the public who wish to attend the hearing, are required to be present at the location at least 30 minutes before the start of the session (at 10 am), and should be able to present a valid ID card.

Four Iranian daily newspapers have been handed a written warning of the ministry of culture not to publish "divisive" material.
The newspapers Asrar, Aftab Yazd, Hayat-e No and Etemad Melli are all of reformist origin. In the past months reformist newspapers repeatedly were banned and journalists and bloggers were jailed.

Saturday, Iran banned foreign media from reporting on a studentevent on December 7th.
In an SMS text message sent by the Ministry of Culture to journalists, photographers and cameramen working for foreign media in Iran, all permits issued for foreign media to cover news in Tehran have been revoked from December 7 to December 9 .
An official at Iran's telecommunications ministry told Reuters that Internet access and cellphone lines would be disabled on Monday.

Latest news of December 5 of Human Rights Activists in Iran:
Studentactivist Mahdieh Golroo is missing since her arrest December 2.That day she was arrested together with her husband Vahis La’lipoor.
Kalanaki and Jalalifar, who were arrested November 30 called home for the first time.
The member of the OneMillionsSignature Campaign Haydeh Tabesh is arrested and Mehrnoosh Etemadi stays imprisoned.

In Laleh Park were several Mourning Mothers arrested.
They remained unidentified.

In Sanandaj are 14 workers and members of the Workers Coordination Committee arrested.
The names are: Vafa Ghaderi, Diakoo Ghaderi(Vafa Ghaderi’s 10 year old son),
Sedigh Sobhani and his wife, Yadollah Hamdi, Kiyoumars Ghaderi, Habibollah Kalekani, Erfan Naderi, Kaveh Bahrami, Jaml Khani, Vahed Khani, Fayegh Sobhani, Kiyoumars Sobhani, Zahir Razavi

3 people were released,but the judge has ordered that the others could only be released on $100,000 bail each.
Mohammad-Amin Agooshi from Piranshahr is sentenced to death on accusations of having ties to a Kurdish Political party.
Bahai Zabihollah Ra’oofi stays in Sanandaj prison, although his prisonterm is served.

Kazem Rezaee and Yahya Tavoosi, students from Shiraz University are sentenced to resp. 5 year and 8 months and 3 year prison.
Yashar Darolshafa, een leftish student at Tehran university is released after 20 days in Evinprison.




According to reports, the prisoner Saheb-Gholi Rajabi in ward 7, section 6 Evinprison has died from an illness because he didn't get proper medical attention for 2 months.
Last week another prisoner died in Evinprison of unknown causes.
A political prisoner called Naseh Yousefi, detained in ward 6 of Rajai-Shahr Prison in Karaj, has been severely beaten by IRGC guards.

GlobalVoicesOnline reports that the father of journalist /blogger Fariba Pajooh is in bad psychological condition, because his daughter has been in prison for more than 100 days, without knowing the reason.
