Iran: force majeure, goverment, similarity

During fridayprayers ayatollah Ahmed Jannati accused opposition of moharebe (enmity with god) and said they should receive deathsentence.
During an appearance on Iran's state television Ayatollah Mehyaddin Haeri Shiraz said that instead of arresting the opposition protesters, it would be better they were killed."The more of them are killed, the more beneficial. If the armed forces kill some of them, it is to our benefit."
He also talked about how the protest movement in the early years of the Islamic Republic was effectively crushed by the authorities "The government arrested them in the afternoon and the same night announced the names of 30 people killed or executed by the government forces. Nothing happened. Why? Because they killed them."
December 27 were at least 7 people killed at the protests.

PressTV writes that 7 arrested will stand on trial, the trial begins Sunday. Iranian police say they have arrested 500 rioters.
Policechief Radan said that police forces did not use violence against protesters, but only used teargas.
Officially 7 people were killed.

The blog Iran Body Count reports the names of some of the victims of December 27.
Mehdi Farhadinia,34, Mohammad Ali Rasekhinia, 40, Amir Arshadi, 30, Shahram Faraji, 30, Seyed Ali Habibi Mousavi, 42, Jahanbakht Bazooki, 50, and a, according to the police unidentified woman, 43 and a man, 31.
It is unclear how it is possible for the police, not knowing the identities but only the ages of the victims.

Seven members of Committee Human Rights Reporters are arrested.
Saeed Kalanaki and Saeed Jalaifar were arrested December 3. They are under heavy physical and psychological pressure.
Koohyar Gudarzi, Saeed Haeri and Shiva Nazar-Ahari were arrested December 20. Shiva Nazar-Ahari went in hungerstrike and fainted. She was transported to the hospital.
Yesterday evening Parisa Kakayi and Mehrdad Rahimi were arrested.


The Green Way Network (Jaras) wrote that Thursday December 31st 180 students of Azad university in Mashhad were arrested after a silent gathering of more then 3000 students.
Jaras reports that the total number of arrested students from this university including those arrested on Wednesday is 210.
All representatives of the students who had also attended a meeting with the university officials and the city council were also arrested.
Seyed Sadra Mirdamadi, member of the central council of the Islamic Organization of Azad University of Mashhad, a close familymember of Ayatollah Khamenei.
The detainees were transported to a policestation on Reza Avenue, a detentioncenter in Rezashahr, and to a detentioncenter for fighting sedition in Mashhad.
