Amnesty International has urged the Iranian government not to sentence to death the arrested of the Ashuraprotests.
At least five protesters who were arrested December 27, Ashura, will be charged with moharebe (enmity against god), which carries the deathpenalty.
Amnesty International fears they could be tried imminently.
On Friday, Tehran Prosecutor General Abbas Jafari-Dolatabadi reportedly confirmed the five to be members of the People's Mojahedin Organization (PMOI), an opposition group based in Iraq.
PMOI has confirmed to Amnesty International that five people, who all have children in the PMOI in Iraq, have been detained since the Ashoura protests.
Their names are: Ali Mehrnia, 70, Parviz Varmazyari, 54, Majid Rezaii, Alireza Nabavi en Ali Massoumi.
Authorities accused various opposition groups of orchestrating the unrest on Ashura, also the BahaĆ.
At least 13 Baha'is have been arrested from their homes since the demonstrations.
The Baha’i community denies any such involvement.
The lawyers of the seven imprisoned Baha'ileaders, were notified in December that their clients will be tried Tuesday. They all are charged with espionage and could be sentenced to death.
Amnesty International believes that all 20 are prisoners of conscience who should be released immediately and unconditionally.

The site televisionwashington.com reports that Committee to Protect Journalists condemned Thursday the ongoing arrests of journalists in Iran and called on the government in Tehran to release them.
The imprisoned journalists now number more then 30.
Wednesday announced Reporters without borders that the number of imprisoned journalists in Iran is 42, Iran is worlds biggest prison for journalists.

Reuters reports that according to newsagency Fars the German journalist, who was arrested on December 27, during the Ashuraprotests,Friday was released, while the Syrian journalist will be freed on Saturday.Eight people were killed.
Website Rahesabz reported Wednesday that more then 180 people, including 17 journalists, 10 aides to Mousavi and an unspecified number of Baha'is,were arrested following the protests of December 27.
An European diplomat was arrested for 24 hours.

Human Rights Activists in Iran reported that the female political prisoner Zahra Jafari has died under suspicious circumstances in the Orumiyaprison.Her body was transferred from prison January 6th.
The cause of death is unknown.
Amir Kabirnewsletter reports that the permit for his family to visit Milad Asadi, member of the Central Council of Tahkim Vahdat, in prison was revoked. Asadi is imprisoned since November 30.
Morteza Samiari, member of the Central Council of Tahkim Vahdat has contacted his family from Evin prison.Samiari is arrested during an attack on his house.
There is no news about Bahareh Hedayat, coordinator of Tahkim Vahdat’s public relations bureau.December 31 she was arrested in her house.
The number of the Central Council of TahkimVahdat members who have been arrested after December 7, 2009, has increased.
