Iran: illegal

The workers at Ahvaz Pipe factory have not received their wages for a year.
After the nowruzholidays 300 of them are fired.
Past year they staged several protests over their back pay and work conditions.
Their protests were ignored.

Mokhtar Zarei, member of United Kurd Front was arrested January 14 at the Sandaj Behesht-e Mohammadicemetary along with 10 other members of the Front and the Kurdish Students Democratic Union. They gathered there to commemorate the student Ebrahim Lotfollahi.
According to Nedaye Sabz, Mokhtar Zarei is interrogated by the Sanandaj Intelligence Office and transferred o March 6 to Sanandaj Central Prsion.
The judiciary in Sanandaj has not converted his detention verdict to release-on-bail nor has it indicted Zarei’s charges.The fifth branch of Sanandaj court has postponed posting bail for him to after the new year holidays (Saturday April 3) .
This is illegal, the law states its illegal to detain inmates even for one extra day without extending their arrest warrants.

Ehsan Abdeh-Tabrizi, son of Hossein Abdeh-Tabrizi, former secretary-general of Tehran Stock Exchange is detained for 3 months now and there is still no news about his status or possible charges.
Abdeh-Tabrizi is student Political Science at Durham University, in England.
He was arrested at Khomeiniairport when he arrived for a familyvisit.
His father was also director of the banned newspaper “Sarmayeh” and a critic of Ahmadinejad’s politics.

Reporters Without Borders reports that the journalists Emadoldin Baghi (respiratory problems), Badrolssadat Mofidi (heartproblems), Mehdi Mahmudian (acute asthma) and Mohammad Sadegh Kabovand (several undiagnosed attacks ), are seriously ill.
Also Henghameh Shahidi, Issa Saharkhiz, Nader Karimi and Mojtaba Lotfi are ill.
Reporters Without Borders urges Iran to release them immediately.

They recorded 59,040 instances of human rights violations in Iran over the past year.
The number of human rights violations is probably much higher.
