Last week, the pressure in Kurdistan intensified.
Kaveh Kermanshahi and Sama Bahmani two detained humanrights activists are under heavy pressure. Kermanshahi's arrest is extended and he is being tortured to confess to charges of espionage. Since he was arrested 70 days ago, he is in isolated confinement in a detentioncenter of the Ministry of Intelligence in Kermanshah.
Kermanshahi is a member of a OneMillionSignatureCampaign, the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization and Advar Tahkim Vahdat Office.
160 journalists, bloggers and activists wrote a letter to Sadegh Larijani, head of justice, to ask for Kermanshahi's release.
Last week, the 14-year-old daughter of Sama Bahmani, a Kurdish humanrights activist is expelled from school. The principal said that the activities of her mother were the grounds for the expulsion.
Sama Bahmani was arrested February 2nd.
March 29 she is sentenced by judge Khodadi in the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court to 1 year iin prison for membership of HRA.
Hayat Ahmadi, a resident of Sarvabad was killed at a shootingincident near the border area of Marivan.
April 7, security agents opened fire at a group of merchants near the border in the Bayanginarea.
Amin Mohammadi, 35 and Abbas Marzani jumped in Layleh River.Amin Mohammadi drowned and Abbas Marzani was severely injured.
In the Persian calendaryear 1388 (March 2009 to March 2010) more than 90 porters and small merchants were killed along the border by security forces.
At least 14 people were arrested in Kurdistan alone.
10 people were arrested at a rally near the governor's house in Sardasht, where they protested against the hooting death of a Kurdish merchant on April 4.The rally was attended by some 2000 people.
Hiva Abbasi, Feraydoon Ebrahimi, Payman Shamami, Aram and Avat are among the arrested.
Several Sunni activists were arrested in Javanrood after intelligence agents raided their homes. Abdolhadi, Mohammad Ali Barzegar are among those arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown. Khalil Hamidi was not arrested, because he failed to be at home.
Mohieddin Azadi. is sentenced to 4 years in prison.
In appeal, the sentence of Mohammad Ghavami to 2 years and 4 months is confirmed.
Masoud Hossein Panahi, is sentenced to 1 year in prison.
Last week is Hossein Khezri, who is sentenced to death, transferred from the prison in Orumieh to an unknown location.
Currently are 21 Kurdish prisoners sentenced to death: Zainad Jalalin, Shirkoo Moarefi, Saghez Prison, Habib Lotfi, Sanandaj Prison, Sami Hosseini, Orymiyeh Prison, Jamal Mohammadi, Orumiyeh Prison, Rostam Arkia, Rashid Akhkandi, Hossein Khezri, Farzad Kamangar, Evin, Ali Haydarian, Evin, Farhad Vakili, Evin, Mostafa Salimi, Saghez Prison, Anvar Rostami, Iraj Mohammadi, Orumiyeh Prison, Mohammad Amin Agoushi, Orumiyeh Prison, Ahmad Pouladkhani, Orumiyeh Prison, Hossein Taleyi, Shirin Alam Holoo, Evin, Mohammad Amin Abdollahi, Ghader Mohammadzadeh, Aziz Mohammadzadeh.
17 political prisoners went in hungerstrike in the prison of Orumieh protesting the drug distribution inside the prison.There is no information about the identity of the hungerstrikers.
