Iran: shake up

The temporary leader of Fridaysprayer in Tehran said yesterday that if women do not fully observe the obligatory Islamic hijab, this increases the risk of earthquakes.

The Iranian Inner Ministry banned two reformist parties.
Newspaper Khabaronline report that the decision was agreed upon in a meeting of the ministry's committee in charge of political parties on Monday.
Islamic Iran Participation Front is run by Mohsen Mirdamadi and Islamic Revolution Mujahideen Organization is run by Mohammad Salamati.

The Azerbaijan civil activists Behrouz Alizadeh, Vadood Sa’adati and journalist Rahim Gholami who were 12 days in hungerstrike to protest prison conditions in Ardebil prison, ended their hungerstrike April 14.
According to Savalan Sesi portal prisonofficials made promises to them to remove pressures and limitations on them, following which they were transferred from Ardebil prison quarantine to ward 7 of this prison.

Political prisoners in Evinprison announced that in protest to poor prison condition and violation of their rights, they will go on political fasting starting April 21.They start with one day per week, but gradually will increase to more days as we approach June 12, the first anniversary of the election in Iran.
According to radio Farda their demands are: cancellation and reduction of issued verdicts for political, security and journalist detainees arrested after June 2009, immediate release of all inmates on bail or custody until their court hearings, holding open court hearings with the presence of a jury, addressing illegal and unfair interrogations and investigations, and punishing all offenders at all levels, improving nutrition, health, welfare and leisure conditions for all prisoners and detainees.

Shabnam Madadzadeh, an arrested student is taken to the Evinprison clinic with intestinal cramps.She has heavy stomachaches and is vomiting. This started on the night before, but the guard told that there were no doctors at the clinic.
In recent months, many female prisoners have become ill and suffering from different health problems caused by the poor food and hygienic conditions.

Since the start of the current school year are more then 170 students of Amir Kabir university summoned to appear for the disciplinary committee.The majority of them were accused of taking part in the December 7 protest as well as boycotting the exams.
40 of them are suspended. Although the majority of suspension orders are currently under review, a a number of students have received their final rulings which include a ban from entering the university grounds.
Vahid Dolatabadi, Sasan Shah-Mohammadi, Lida Mahoudi, Farzaneh Sharifi and Mahrdad Farnoush have received this final rulings.
