Ansar Bank, Mehr Iranian Organization and Ghavamin Fund are privatized with permit from Iran’s Central Bank. These institutions all belong to the army.
Ansar and Mehr Iranian were founded by the Islamic Passdaran Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and Ghavamin belongs to the Iranian police.
Many economists connect the establishment of private banks by the military to related to issues such as money laundering and international sanctions.

The workers at Iran Paint Factory only received half of their bonuses because of penalties enforced by the employer.
The werknemers van Sabalan Fabric Factory, protested April 5 at the office of Ardebil's governor. Sabalan reduced 15 % of its work.
Metal Industries Factory has closed its gates until mid April due to lack of raw materials.
Parvin Mohammadi, one of the workers, told Iran Labor News Agency that factory no.1 employs 350 people. The workers were given the same reason last year and it led to wages not being paid for three months.
Factory No. 2, which builds metal bridges, are also around 350 and they have gone back to work following the Nowruz recess. They, however, are owed one month of back wages.
Metal Industries Factory 1 and 2 are among the oldest and largest production units in the southwest of Tehran.

The disciplinary committee of Sabzevar Teacher Training University has issued harsh sentences to more then 160 studentactivists for joining Studentsday(7 December), protesting to desecration of Ayatollah Khomeini’s photos (December 13), and funeral of deceased Ayatollah Montazeri (December 21). During the schoolyear 2009-2010 many students were killed or wounded.
Most sentences have been issued in students’ absentia and without issuance of any summon notice by the disciplinary committee. These sentences have been upheld by university’s student and disciplinary vice-presidencies, through Basij’s collaboration or by checking the security cameras installed across the campus.
