Iran: further

The Kahrizakprison, which was closed last year after it got out that people in there were tortured, will be re-opened with a new name.
The name will be Shoroush 111.
This news brought great concern to many political and human rights activists.
The son of an influential hardline cleric, Mehdi Kazali, wrote an open letter which was also published on the reformist Kaleme site, questioning this.

The courthearing of Milad Asadi, a detained student of KNTU and member of the reformist Office for Consolidating Unity, which was scheduled for May 3, is postponed for the third time by branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court.

The Washington Post publishes an article about the increasing role of IRGC in the petroleumsector since more sanctions are put on Iran.
The companies of the Guards replace European oil firms that have largely abandoned Iran, and received big contracts, in a no-bid procedure.
In the past, the role of IRGC in Iran's petrochemical sector was restricted to related projects, including building roads and canals.
But now IRGCaffiliated companies do the most oil projects, and they have taken the lead in key parts of the gigantic South Pars liquefied natural gas project, with Chinese companies.
