Iran: further

The stoning of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani is halted by Iranian authorities.
Why and when the sentence was halted is not known.
The lifting of the stoning does not mean that she not will be executed.
Ashtiari is in prison since 2006.

July 4 is women’s and children’s rights activist Maryam Zia tried in branch 28 of the revolutionary court She is charged with “propaganda against the system” based on Act 500 of the penal law.
HRDAI reports that judge Moghiseh's behavior was similar to that of Ministry of Intelligence interrogators; he shouted, threatened and insulted Maryam Zia at the court.
Maryam Zia was arrested December 31, 2009 by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and was held in ward 209 in isolation where she was tortured and interrogated.

Abbas Palizdar revealed yesterday in an interview that he was behind the project to fabricate evidence against Ahmadinejed’s opponents in the 2009 Iranian Presidential election.
He also said that Ahmadinejad promised him a position as the head of a ministry post in return for his efforts.
Palizdar was sentenced to 6 years in prison on charge of malversation for revealing “the secrets of the government".
He is free on bail.

Especially in China and Iran is the internet not freely accessible.
