Amnesty International urged Iranian authorities not to execute by any other method a woman convicted of adultery, following an official statement that she will not be executed by stoning.
The Iranian Embassy in London confirmed that Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani , 43, will not be stoned for adultery.
However, fears remain that she could be hanged.

Yaser Turkeman who is earning his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Amir Kabir University, is transfered to Evin Prison to serve his prisonsentence .
He was sentenced to one year in prison and denied the request to suspend his prison sentence until his graduation. He was taken to ward 350.

June 29 is Mahmoud Bagheri, member of board of directors of Teachers Trade Union of Iran, arrested after being summoned by Zone 4 in the Ministry of Education.
Since then there is no information available.His family has been unable to find any information on the status or place of his detention.

The campaign “IRI Out of ILO” (Islamic Republic of Iran Out of the International Labor Union), started the RELEASE campaign to bring greater attention to the routine suppression and brutal abuse of workers and their families in Iran.
The aim of the campaign is the immediate and unconditional release of all labour activists who are currently in jail.
