August 7 were 5 people hanged in the prison of Ahwaz.
The men are named: "M. M., sentenced for keeping of 900 kg opium, M. Ch. for keeping of 500 kg opium, Y. S. for keeping of 200 kg opium and selling of 69,15 kg opium, S. A. for participating in keeping of 27 grams crack an A. R. for keeping of 194 grams heroine and 6 gram crack.They all were sentenced to death.

Fereshteh Halimi the wife of humanrights lawyer Mohammad Mostafaei has been released from prison.

Mohammad Mostafaei gave an interview in Turkey (English).






Photojournalist Babak Bordbar, who was arrested during the Ashuraprotests on December 27, has been released on Saturday August 7.
He was one of the 17 people on hungerstrike.
