Iran: in progress

A number of human rights activists and Iranian citizens have formed a group to support the families of political prisoners, called “We are the Family Members of Political Prisoners Campaign”.
One of the members told RAHANA that familymembers of political prisoners have been deprived of spreading news about their loved ones for a very long time.
Iranian authorities don't wish to see any news regarding the political prisoners reach the outside world.
The group wants to be a voice for those people.
Information about the group can be found here (Farsi)

On Thursday, the Green Movement set up the channel RASA (Resan-e Sabz-e Iran or Iran’s Green Media).
RASA wants to provide Iranians with forthright journalism and analyses as well as to reflect the views of the Iranian people and to frankly discuss all issues related to Iran, something currently missing.
Additionally RASA says that it can play a role between the Green Movement and Iran’s major cities such as Tabriz, Ahvaz, Shiraz and Mashhad. The ease and simplicity with which ordinary Iranians can obtain satellite television, means that the Green Movement will now be able to reach out to rural and remote corners of the country.
The group is JARAS (Rah-e Sabz) including Mohsen Kadivar, Abdolali Bazargan, Fatemeh Haghighatjou and Mohajerani.

Another group has set up a foundation called “Bonyad-e Neda” (The Neda Foundation), the heads are, among others academic Ramin Jahanbegloo, cartoonist Nik Ahangh Kowsar, journalist Masih Alinejad, writer Shahrnoush Parispour and activist and lawyer Mehranghiz Kar.
The channel is called Iran Neda.
