Iran: punishment

The website Kurdish Perspective reports that the Evin prison interrogators have amputated the tongue of Matin Arjan, a Kurdish political prisoner from Batman, Turkey.
His brother confirmed this and said that his brother is in a very bad physical condition. Because of the torture he suffers psychological problems and severe liver and gastrointestinal damage.
Arjan is in prison since 2005 and is sentenced to 10 years in prison accused of entering Iran and political involvement with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

The Kurdish political prisoner Mohammad Amin Agoushi who is sentenced to death has gone in hungerstrike protesting the limitations imposed on him and the fact that he is held in the ward for murderers. Agoushi is in the prison of Orumieh.
He is along with Iraj Mohammadi and Ahmad Pouladkhani sentenced to death by firing squad on charges of espionage.

According to website Aftab, the newspapers Sepidar en Parastoo have been banned for the publication of images against “public chastity” and indifference towards their mission as press in addition to their insistence on carrying out these “violations.”
The newspaper Asia was also banned for publishing images violating “public chastity” and advocating waste through images.
