Iran: cause

Arzhang Davoudi who is in hungerstrike for over 2 months and is hardly able to speak or open his eyes, was transferred to the clinic at Rajai Shahr prison.
In this clinic he was under heavy pressure to undersign a paper, which would assign him all responsibilities for the consequences of his hungerstrike.
He refused and insisted to continue his hunger strike until all his demands are met.
Davoudi is detained since November 9th, 2003 on the charges of “acting against national security” and writing the “Manifesto of Secular Iranians.”

At least 25 people were killed in a busaccident on the road of Tehran to Saveh.
According to ISNA 14 people were injured and taken to the hospital in Saveh.
Suspected as cause of the accident is tiredness of the driver.

Last weekend the Iranian police arrested 60 people at a party which, according to newspaper Jam-e Jam was held in a garden near Tehran.
The newspaper wrote that alcohol was served and men and women mingled freely.
No further details were given.
