Iran: threats and tortures

Humanrightslawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh is under severe physical and mental torture in Evinprison.
She is on the 20th day of her hungerstrike and the interrogators keep torturing her.The entire ward hears her agonizing cries in the middle of the night caused from pain and torment.
September 4th 2010 she has been arrested and September 25th she went on hungerstrike.
Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran asks the UN High Commissioner along with all internal and international agencies to demand the immediate and unconditional release of her.

The security forces have threathened the wife and daughter in law of Mansour Osanloo by telephone.
Previously, his daughter in law had been attacked and beaten so that she had been admitted to a hospital as a result of the attack.
Mansour Osanloo, the head of Tehran Transit Workers Union is in prison since 2007 he suffers from heart, back and vision problems. and physicians have decided that he should be released.

Despite earlier statements from the lawyer of the three imprisoned Americans that there is not any espionage evidence against his clients, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence said that released American Sarah Shourd if necessary has to return to Iran.
Shourd has been released after paying a high bail.The other two Americans are still in jail since July 2009.

In an interview with International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran it was said that payment of the bailsum of $600,000 for the release of journalist Hengameh Shahidi is impossible for the family, due to the high amount.
Shahidi is serving a prisonsentence of 6 years and is in bad physical and psychical condition.
