Iran: demonstrations

In the whole country of Iran students demonstrated yesterday.
Multiple students have been arrested.

Blogger and studentactivist Mohammad Pour-Abdollah is jailed since September 2008.
Initially he was sentenced to 6 years in prison, this was reduced to 3 years.
He is in Ghezel-Hesar Prison in the ward with dangerous criminals and drug dealers.
Although he has filed a conditional release request and has served half of his sentence, he has not been released.

Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, is sentenced to death for apostacy.
Behrouz Sadegh-Khanjani is facing a possible indictment for apostasy in the southern city of Shiraz.Both are Christians. Nadarkhani became a Christian when he was 19 and Khanjani is the son of Christian parents.
The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran urges Iran to immediate release of Nadarkhani and Sadegh-Khanjani and end persecution for apostacy, a crime, which does not appear in any Iranian laws and violates Iran’s human rights obligations

Yesterday was the office of newspaper Shargh raided by security agents and Ali Khodabaksh, the head of the newspaper, Ahmad Gholami, editor in chief and editors Farzaneh Roustaei and Keyvan Mehregan have been arrested.
In 2009 the newspaper was also closed.
