Iran: prisoners

On Students Day 15 students have been arrested.
They were transferred to Evinprison.
10 students have been released after interrogation.
The students have been severely beaten during and after arrest.

According to Mehrnews the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday that the two German reporters confessed to the charge of trying to interview relatives of Sakineh Ashtiani without having obtained journalistic credentials.

December 12 the trial against Dutch-Iranian Zahra Bahrami is scheduled in branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court with Judge Salavati.
She spent nearly a year in prison without being tried. During this time, she was nine months in ward 209 of Evin prison.
She is charged with: Enmity with God (Moharebeh), member of the Royalist party, propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and possession of narcotics.
These charges are punishable with the deathsentence. Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran calls upon the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Dutch government and other international organizations to act immediately to prevent the inhuman death verdict against her.

Imprisoned humanrights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh has again began a dry hunger strike (no food or water) in protest against her continued detention and the unjust incarceration of other innocent prisoners.

The prisonsentence of Mokhtar Houshmand from 16 years in prison is in appeals court reduced to 7 years.
He was charged with espionage, anti-regime propaganda and collaborating with anti-regime groups.

A source told International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that yesterdayevening blogger Hossein Derahkshan temporarily has been released on a bail of $1,5 million from prison. He hopes that his sentence will be reduced in appeal's court, to keep him from returning to prison.
The news of Derakhshan’s release was first published by Mashregh News, a website close to Iran’s security circles.
Derahkshan is sentenced to 19,5 year in prison.
