Iran: sentences

In the prison of Isfahan were December 4th, 4 men hanged.
The men are named, Abdollah N. convicted for keeping and selling of 495g crack, Zarif D. for keeping of 9 kilo and 450g crack, Masoud Gh. born 1972 for trafficking 261g crack and Bakhtiar S., born 1966 for keeping of 74 kilos, 800g crack, 603g opium, 94 g of an opiumproduct and drugsaddiction. He was also sentenced to 2 years in prison, 70 lashes and a fine of $1820.

Reporters without Borders wrote to the foreign ministers of the six countries conducting negotiations with Iran about its nuclear programme Germany, China, United States, France, Britain and Russia a letter urging them to raise the subject of freedom of expression in Iran when talks resume next week.
The long prisonsentences passed on bloggers Hossein Ronaghi Maleki and Hossein Derakhshan, and the arrests of journalists, bloggers and netizens are named in particular. The bad physical and psychological conditions of detainees are worrysome. Some are deprived from medical treatment.
The situation of Mohammad Sadegh Kaboudvand, Issa Saharkhiz and Hengameh Shahidi, who have been hospitalised in the infirmaries of Evin and Rajai Shahr prisons several times since their arrest, is particularly alarming.
Two German journalists have been detained since October 11th and are accused of spying, while they were just doing their duty as journalists.

Bahareh Hedayat member of Office for Strengthening Unity (Tahkim Vahdat), wrote an open letter on the occasion of Students Day on 7 December.
She was sentenced to 9½ years in jail in December.

The 28 branch of the revolutionary court sentenced 40 sunni missionaries and 7 residents of Boukan, who were in solitary confinement since June 2009, to harsh prisonsentences.
Mamousta Mohammad Berati is convicted to 11 years in prison, Hossein Heydari, Sobhan Ahmadzadeh and Abdollah Khosrozadeh are convicted to 6 years in prison.
Himan Mahmoud Takhti and Hesam Mohammadi were convicted to 5 years in prison and Sadigh Ahmadi is convicted to 2 years in prison.
The charges were propaganda, organizing religious ceremonies and crossing the border. They have been transferred to Ward 350 of the Evinprison.
