A former CIAagent in USA is charged with giving classified information concerning Iran to a "New York Times" reporter. The agent is charged with 10 counts related to improperly keeping and disclosing national security information.
The name of the reporter is not revealed, but reports indicate that details in the indictment make clear the case is connected to James Risen, a "New York Times" reporter who published a book in 2006 that contains details about the CIA's intelligence activities involving Iran.

The deathsentence of Jafar Kazemi is according to information given by the Islamic Court in Evin prison to his family, has been referred to the execution branch of the Revolutionary Court and is awaiting confirmation.
This means that his execution is imminent.
Kazemi is arrested in September 2009 and spent 74 days in isolation in ward 209, where he also was tortured.

Ahmad Gholami, editor-in-chief of Shargh newspaper, who had spent three weeks in prison and was released on bail last Wednesday has decided to resign rather than succumb to pressures from security forces.
The newspapers cartoonist, Hadi Heydari also announced last week that he does not intend to continue working for Shargh.
The three incarcerated employees of Shargh, Keyvan Mehregan, Farzaneh Roostayi and Reyhaneh Tabatabaei announced to resign from their positions upon their release.
