The man, A.M. was convicted for keeping 2407 grams of crack.

International Campaign for Abolishing The Deathpenalty in Iran reports that the HRW published a statement urging the Iranian government to halt the execution of the political prisoner Shirko Moarefi.
The organization also expresses her concern about the increase of executions in Iran lately.

Studentactivist Ashkan Zahabian, a student at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, has been detained Monday after he had turned himself in at Shahid Kachooie prison in Sari.
He is a member of General Branch of the Daftar-e Tahkim Vahdat (student alumni) organization,former member of Central Council of the Islamic Association of the Ferdowsi University and Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, and studentactivist in the north of the country.
In February 2010 without his presence, he was sentenced to six months in prison by Judge Rezaieian in the Babol Revolutionary Court.

At a meeting with students top-cleric Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Khatami said that the issue of not properly wearing hijab has become a problem and a cultural calamity in today’s society.
He also said that socially not much attention and thoughts are about this issue and that he thinks that pure blood has to be spilled for this problem to be uprooted.

Reports of the Human Rights Activists News Agency say that in the past days the teachers Bahaldyn Maleki, Ramin Zandnia, Ali Qarishi, Mokhtar Asadi, Peyman Navidian, Heydar Zaman, Reza Khatami, Kamal Fakorian, Mostafa Sarbazan, Mohammad Sadiq Sadeqi, Hiva Ahmadi and Ezatollah Nosrati were summoned to report at the Information Agency in Kurdistan and questioned and threatened.
They are member of the Teachers’ Union of Kurdistan who called to commemorate the death of Farzad Kamangir on May 9th, a day to reject violence and defend the right to live.
