Iran: punkshment

May 12, four people were hanged in the prison of Kerman.
A. A. convicted for keeping 8500 grams of heroin, N. B. for keeping of 5800 grams of crack, N.D. for keeping of 4870 grams of heroin and A.B. for keeping 20000 vials of Norgesic.
The charges were not confirmed by independent sources.

In the city of Yazd were May 12th, 3 men hanged in public and one was hanged in prison.None of the men were identified by name,but according to the report they all were convicted for rape.
The report says that they were arrested in 2009 and 2010 in Meybod, Tabas and Yazd.

May 14 2 men have been hanged in the prison of Qazvin. H. M. 40 of the city of Maynavard and R. H. 38 were convicted for drugstrafficking.

Iran threathened Sunday to allow the transit of illicit drugs if the West continues to criticise the Islamic way of punishment.
Larijani said that Iran sacrifices blood in fighting drug trafficking and suggested it is unfair that it is then condemned by the West for executing smugglers.
Iran says it has lost more than 3,700 troops in the fight against drug traffickers and 11,000 more have been injured to date since 1979.
