Iran: further

Yesterday two American hikers were sentenced to 8 years in prison. The third American, Sarah Shourd was released last year, due to health reasons.
Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal were sentenced to 3 years in prison for illegally entering Iran and five years for spying for the United States.
They deny the charges, saying they were only hiking near the ill-defined border.
They have 20 days to appeal the decision.

The Iranian Ministry of Culture and Guidance banned the children’s book Bijan and Manijeh that is in it’s eighth publication
Previously, sections of the classic Persian book Khosrow and Shirin were censored.
The director of Peydayesh Publications said that out of 10 books that were sent for licensing to the Ministry of Culture, 7 of them were audited, resulting in their scheduled publications being halted.

Currently he is already 6 years in prison without one day furlough.He has been tortured and lost 50% of his vision.

The editor of Aidin student publication and Turkish activist Ali Hedayati is arrested in his workplace.
Human Rights House of Iran writes that he had been threatened by the security forces in person and over the phone in the past a few weeks.
