Iran: questions

An Iranian commander said Wednesday that revolutionary guards will carry on operations against Kurdish rebels in northwest Iran along the Iraqi border.
He also said that Tehran is prepared to finance the building of border security posts in northern Iraq to be manned by Iraqi forces.
He denied that Iran shelled Iraqi villages during attacks on PEJAK bases in the borderarea.
July 16 Iran started heavy shelling in the area.

Studentactivists Khatereh Danesh Tavakol and Melina Bakhtiarnejad were arrested last week.
Tavakol is arrested when she was summoned to the Ministry of Information.
August 13 security agents raided the home of Bakhtiarnejad’s father and confiscated a computer and personal papers and arrested her.

For 88 days are seven Bahai after being arrested for their activities in connection with the onlineuniversity, in prison.
Amin Zibaei, Vahid Mahmoudi, Farhad Sedghi, Mahmoud Badavam, Kamran Mortezaei, Riaz Sobhani and Noushin Khadem are in Evinprison and are charged with acting against national security.

The 4 political prisoners Behrouz Javid-Tehrani, Saleh Kohandel, Farzad Madadzadeh, and Mohammad Ali Masouri were transferred from Rajaei Shahrprison to Ward 240 from Evinprison.
For 2 months familymembers of the political prisoners have not received a proper response from the authorities about their transfer. They are still interrogated, enduring torture and held in solitary confinement.
The sister of Farzad Madadzadeh, Shabnam Madadzadeh, who is serving her 5 year prison sentence, finally met her brother in the presence of his interrogator, she learned that his charges include disturbing national security.
The four prisoners were in prison prior to the 2009 post-election unrest.
