Iran: letters

The Comittee to Protect Journalists CPJ wrote a letter to Dr. Ahmed Shaheed,
U.N. Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran asking attention for the worsening situation of pressfreedom in Iran and the great amount of imprisoned journalists.

In an open letter to international organisations demanded hundreds of Iranian political and civil activists help in securing the release of opposition leaders Mir Hossein Musavi, and Mehdi Karrubi and their wives Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karrubi. Since February 14 they are under housearrest.
The letter (Fa) states among other things that no arrest warrants have been issued against them.
