Iran: prison


Kurdish activist Mansour Zardouyee, 27 has been arrested by security forces some months ago in Kamyaran and is in solitary confinement since.
There have been no reports on his condition.

Political prisoner Misagh Yazdan Nejad, has been denied medical care in Rajaei Shahr Prison. Although needs to undergo a surgery he was denied medical care.
Nejad, 24 and student at Payam Nur College to become translator, is in prison since 2007, after he was arrested while attending a memorial service for the 19th anniversary of political prisoners executed in 1987.
He was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Detained blogger Hossein Ronaghi Maleki refused to undersign his verdict.
In october 2010 Maleki was sentenced to 15 years in prison and the Appeals Court upheld the sentence.
When he refused to undersign he was severely beaten up by the head of the court office and his accompanying officials.

According to Nimatullahi Gonabadi Order News Site basiji opened fire with teargas and bullets too members of Nimatula Gonabadi Sufi sect in Khavan County.
After almost an hour Special Forces Unit dispatched from Shiraz put an end to it.
A number of individuals on both sides of the conflict were injured.

Student Ashkan Zahabian who is detained in Matikola Prison of Babol started August 31 a hungerstrike to protest his prison condition.
According to his father, prison staff moved his son to solitary confinement immediately. He has served half of his sentence and he is now legally eligible for a conditional pardon.
