He was arrested in September and has been sentenced to 1 year in prison.
He has been charged with anti-regime propaganda and insulting the Supreme Leader.

There are concerns over the condition of Abbas Lesani.
He was arrested during the demonstrations at Lake Oromieh.Since he is held in isolation and has been on a hungerstrike for 16 days. He was forced to end his hunger strike due to the pressure of his interrogator.
In a telephonecall he told his family that if something happens to him, it has not been due to hunger strike.

The verdict of 6 years in prison against filmmaker Jafar Panahi has been confirmed in appeal.
The daily Iran Saturday wrote that his sentence was confirmed and that he was charged with acting against national security and propaganda against the regime.
He also received a 20-year filmmaking and travel ban.
