Imprisoned reformist leader Mostafa Tajzadeh says that the ruling elite in Iran will retreat sooner then expected.
He called on the Iranian people to show their protest against the ongoing house-arrest of opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi and to show solidarity with the country’s countless political prisoners by fasting on the first Monday of every month.
Last week Tajzadeh accused in a letter to the Supreme Leader the Iranian state of imprisoning those providing financial assistance to families of political prisoners. He also accused the regime of trying to “systematically” destroy the livelihoods of families of dissidents in jail.
Tajzadeh, a senior member of the Mujahedin of the Islam Revolution Organisation (MIRO), is currently in solitary confinement in Evin prison.
