Iran: blast

According to an Iranian lawmaker two explosions occurred Saturday morning at an ammunition depot in the village of Bidganeh, 25km from Tehran.

Two years after the islamic revolution of 1979 the 9 members of Bahai Spiritual Assembly disappeared.Till today their bodies are not found and nothing is known about the circumstances.
In 1981 the second Spiritual Assembly came and again the members disappeared. The third Spiritual Assembly, which was established one year later was banned and only 2 of the 9 members survived.
Jamaleddin Khanjani was one of the two survivors. Together with another survivor the Spiritual Assembly Friends of Iran was established but they stayed victims of discrimination of Bahai in Iran for three decades.
Jamaleddin Khanjani, Afif Naeimi, Saeid Rezaei, Behrouz Tavakoli, Vahid Tizfahm, Fariba Kamalabadi and Mahvash Sabet were members of the latest “Friends of Iran” Council.
After their arrest in May 2008 they were convicted to a total of 140 years of prisonsentences.
Khanjani, who is 78 years old was along with the six others was informed by the appeals court that their sentence has been reduced to 10 years verbally but the written verdict later given to the 78 year old Khanjani and 6 others stated the 20 years.
