Iran: presse

The British mediawatchdog fined Iranian news channel Press TV $ 156,800 for in 2009 unauthorized broadcasting of an interview with imprisoned Iranian-Canadian Newsweekjournalist Maziar Bahari.
PressTV failed to say that Bahari was in jail during the interview.

Yesterday the Iranian government banned foreign media for the first time to cover any further rallies outside Britain’s embassy and diplomatic residences in Tehran.
Agence France Presse reported that this is the first time foreign media in Iran have been prohibited from covering pro-regime rallies.
