In the interim report on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran,the Secretary General Ban Ki-moon regretted the country’s continued lack of cooperation with UN mechanisms, especially with the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran.

Narges Mohammadi, deputy director of the Defenders of Human Rights Center (DHRC) who on March 5th in appeal was sentenced to 6 years in prison told International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that she will not request a pardon as all DHRC activities were based on the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The now banned Defenders of Human Rights Center was founded by Shirin Ebadi, Abdolfattah Soltani, Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, Mohammad Seifzadeh, and Mohammad Sharif.

In Persepolis, province Fars celebrated more then 5000 people Nowrouz.
