Iran: more 1 May 2012

ISNA writes that in the prison of Shahrud 4 men were hanged on April 30.
Their names are "M. J.", "R. R.", "Ch. M." (all from Urmia) and "A. M." from Rasht.
All were convicted for drugsrelated crimes.
Kurdish newsagency Kurdpa writes that one of the executed was a Kurdish prisoner, named "Changiz Majidi", son of Mohammad, a Kurd.

The Kurdish political prisoner Ali Moradi has sewn his lips together as part of a hungerstrike which he started on April 4th to protest his illegal transfer to the prison in Bandar Abbas.
Moradi has been arrested in 2004 and is convicted to 30 years in the prison of Minab.

The advocacygroup United against a Nuclear Iran pressured the International Monetary Fund to stop doing business because of the economic sanctions and to close its account at Iran’s central bank and suspend Iran as a member.
According to IMF records, Iran has had no transactions with the IMF since Jan. 1, 1984.The spokesman of the US Treasure Department said that simply holding central bank of Iran reserves- but not transacting with the CBI -would not likely be seen as conducting any ‘significant financial transaction.
