Iran: pressure, May 11, 2012

Fars newsagency reports that in the city of Khorramdarreh, province Zanjan, three children have died and six other children were wounded during the broadcast of a children's TV show . During the broadcast of the childrens program "Happy Aunt" , 4000 visitors came to a sportscomplex which could hold only 3 000 people. The five-year-old childrens program broadcasts live in various cities and provinces of Iran.
Near the two exits was a chaos.
Three responsible persons have been arrested.

The husband of imprisoned humanrights lawyer Narges Mohammadi told BBC Farsi that his wife in a brief telephone conversation with her mother-in-law and her children informed them of the recurrence of her paralysis. She also became dizzy and fainted.
After her arrest and incarceration in 2009 she suffered a neurological shock and paralysis. She has once again been interrogated.Two weeks ago she went to Evinprison to serve her jailterm.

The pressure on Iranian journalists has been further increased. Reporters Without Borders reports that Thursday Mahssra Amrabadi, the wife of imprisoned journalist Massoud Bastani has been arrested. May 2 is Reza Ansari Rad summoned to serve his prisonsentence.
April 30 Seid Mohammad Mehdi Tabatabai, editor of the monthly Nasimebidari, has been told that the magazine has been suspended for 2 months.

Washington based group American Center for Law and Justice published a letter from imprisoned Iranian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani.
With this letter he thanks his supporters. When the letter is genuine, this is the first time Nadarkhani (who has been sentenced to death for apostacy) has been heard from in a year.
