Iran: more July 16, 2012

Since the effects of inflation grew and the prices of food, like chicken have risen recently, the head of Iran's police warned for films depicting scenes of chicken dinners.
The rising price of chickens symbolise the difficulties of average Iranians in a grim world.
In recent weeks, shoppers have had to pay£3.67 for a kilogram of chicken, around three times last year’s price.

Since January 5 are Bahai Bakhtiyar Rasekhi and his wife and daughter, Farhnaz Na`imi and Farin Rahimi from Kerman detained.They are charged with propaganda against the regime in favour of oppositional organizations and groups, spying for the benefit of foreigners; promoting deviant Baha’i ideas, supporting the apostasy of a large number of Muslims and blasphemy against Islam.
Till now every two months, the Ministry of Intelligence extends their detention without trial.

Former political prisoner, author, journalist and documentarymaker Mohamad Nourizad who has written critical letters before to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei wrote a letter to head of justice Ayatollah Sadegh Larijani, in which he writes about the lack of independent judicial system and calls for the Chief Justice to put his brothers, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, head of the human rights council Javad Larijani, president Ahmadinejad and the Supreme Leader Khamenei on trial.
