Iran: further August 18, 2012

Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC) reports that five ethnic Arabic prisoners in Kharoun prison in Ahwaz are sentenced to death.
Hashem Shabaninejad (poet, blogger and teacher in Arabic literature ), Hadi Rashedi (chemistryteacher), Mohammad Ali Amourinejad (blogger), Seyyed Jaber Alboshokeh and his brother Seyyed Mokhtar Alboshokeh.
They were all convicted for moharebeh and waiting for their appeal trial.
August 5 they were transferred by security agents from Karounprison in Ahwaz to a detention center runned by the Ministry of Information.
After 10 days they were brought back and it became clear that they had been severely tortured with result that their physical and mental conditions have deteriorated. Hadi Rashedi has a broken pelvis and Hashem Shabaninejad is in a coma. Shabaninejad's condition is critical.

Sayeed Hassan Taheri, son of Ayatollah Sayeed Jalal Taheri Esfahani, former Imam Jama of Isfahan, has been sentenced to 4 year in prison and a 10 year exile from his city Zabol.
He has been sentenced for anti-regime propaganda, disturbing public order and insulting the leader.

Thursday told the security police to the prayerleaders of the sunni prayercentra in Tehran that they had no rights to hold their Eid-prayers to mark the end of ramadan. After protests and discussions the security forces said that these orders were from high officials and that they could not accept the reasons.
