Iran: more August 25, 2012


Iranian oppositionleader Mir Hossein Mousavi has been transported home after being hospitalized.
After problems with his heart he was transferred to a hospital where he underwent an angiography.
Mousavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard are under housearrest since February 2011.

The Iranian deputy minister for Asia and South-Pacific told that the two poets
Farid Huseyn and Shahriyar Hajizade
who were arrested on May 2nd, are imprisoned for illegal actions. Their case is being considered in the court.
He said about the illegal actions of the poets, that despite the fact that they were invited to the poetry festival in Tabriz, they have not taken part in it.

The head of the intelligence unit of Revolutionary Guard Corps said that Iran has the responsibility to support the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Iran accused Western powers and countries in the region, including Turkey and Qatar, of supporting the rebels in Syria.
