Iran: work, September 8th, 2012

According to Kermanshah Post on August 26  protested hundreds of workers against back-payment of their wages.
In Iran are 5 million dayworkers with no benefits, suuch as unemployment, years-of-service allowances, bonuses, rankings, over time, fixed wages and such.
Website Kaleme wrote about the uniform opposition against Labor Law.
Free Union of Iranian Workers at Mahshahr region petrochemical industries published a statement about elimination of intermediary subcontracting companies in oil and petrochemical industry and signing direct contracts with thousands of contracting workers.
While in the last decade the wages have increased every year, those wages have not kept up with the real rate of inflation. Currently 25% of the workers are paid below the minimumwages.

Political prisoners and journalists Keyvan Samimi and Masoud Bastani, who are imprisoned in Rajaï Shahr Prison were transferred to solitary confinement due to publication of photos of the two in newspapers from jail.
