Iran: negligible December 2, 2012

Officials of Shahrekord University tried to install camera's for controlling the space of university. Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), reported that students are controled at the gate entry.
In the new schoolyear many female students were fined because of inappropriate dress ( HIJAB ), and several boy students because of smoking have been banned from having a student dormitory.

Member of the Board of National Front, economist, co-founder of Iranian Economists Association, Ali Rashidi has been convicted to 2 years in prison and a 5 years ban of activity for writing about Iran’s economic situation.
He was arrested November 2011 and released on bail February 26, 2012.

The Free Union of Iranian Workers reports that workers of Saveh Safa Steel Rolling and Rolling Profiles, both owned by Rostami Safa, are on strike since November 13 over the issue of unpaid wages.

Cyberpolice Chief of Tehran, Colonel Mohammad Hassan Shokrian has been fired by the Chief of Police in Tehran because of the death of blogger Sattar Beheshti. He died, while in custody.
The Cyberpolice chief has been fired for negligence.

The directeur of Tehran’s Air Quality Control Company said that airpollution in Tehran has reached an unhealthy level and air pollution in Tehran will increase in the coming days.
Children and people with respiratory and heart problems should stay indoors.
He also asked Tehran citizens to use the public transport system instead of their cars during the days of intense air pollution.
