Iran: released and arrested February 26, 2013



IHR reported on February 3rd that in Vakilabadprison in Mashhad tens of secret executions take place. The executions began in October 2012 and have been taking place on Wednesdays and Sundays every week.
At least ten prisoners are hanged each time. On two occasions in November and December, thirty-five and fifty prisoners were executed respectively.
February 10 and 13 tens of prisoners, among them a possible minor were executed.Also there are many Afghan citizens among the executed.

Committee of Human Rights Reporters reports that the Green Movement activist Mohsen Ghashghaizadeh member of the group Saray-e Ahl-e Ghalam (Pen Society) who were detained in October 2012 has been summoned to appear on April 9, 2013 for Tehran Revolutionary court.

Journalists Akbar Montajebi and Reyhaneh Tabatabai who were arrested in January 2013, are release on bail.
Of the 18 journalists who were arrested during a wave of arrests, 10 journalists were released on bail: Motehareh Shafiee, Ali Dehghan, Javad Daliri, Hossein Yaghchi, Fatemeh Sagharchi, Keyvan Mehregan, Emily Amrayee, Narges Joudaki, Reyhaneh Tabatabai, and Akbar Montajebi.
Eight journalists are still detained in Evinprison: Milad Fadai Asl, Soleiman Mohammadi, Pejman Mousavi, Nasrin Takhayori, Sasan Aghaee, Pourya Ameli, Saba Azarpeik, en Ehsan Mazandarani.

It is reported that on February 23 agents of the Ministry of Information arrested Seyed Hamid Sadr Ghabadi an employee of Evinprison when he left his workingplace. The reasons for this arrest is unknown and he was brought to an unknown location.
