Iran: further March 6, 2013

Kurdish activist Ali Ahmad Soleiman and four other prisoners were October 2012 transferred from Orumiyeh Central Prison to the Intelligence Office Detention Center.
Soleiman was convicted to 1 year in prison on charges of ‘contact with foreign media and the office of the UN Special Rapporteur,’ and ‘propaganda against the regime.’
Ahmad Tamouee, Yousef Kakeh Meimi, Jahangir Badouzadeh, and Mostafa Ali Ahmad who were arrested along with him, wwre also tortured and interrogated on charges of ‘contact with foreign media and the office of the UN Special Rapporteur,’ and ‘propaganda against the regime.’

Committee of Human Rights Reporters reports that journalists Nasrin Takhoyori, Saba Azarpeik and Sasan Aghayee are released on bail. They were arrested in January.
Of the 19 journalists detained during the wave of arrests, 17 have now been released on bail.
Ehsan Mazandarani and Mohammad Javad Rouh are still detained.
