Four unionleaders from Haft Tapeh sugarunion are released.
Gorban Alipour and Mohammad Heidari have been released after completing all or part of their sentences.Jalil Ahmadi and Feraydoon Nikfar have been released conditionally on probation after partially serving their sentences.
Ali Nejati remains in prison for "endangering national security", also Reza Rakhshan is still awaiting final sentencing on similar charges.
At Haft Tapeh, nothing has changed after the actions to obtain payment of their wages.
Mansour Osanloo and Afshin Baymani were questioned and threatened with solitary detainment by the head and the deputy head of prison’s intelligence office.
Later that day Mansour Osanloo was transferred to an isolationcell in ward 1 ( aka Doghouse)from Rajaii-Shahrprison.In this ward the prisoner is not allowed to have contact with his family or to use sanitary facilities, his food will be rationed and his medications will be cut off.Prisoners are also tortured.

In the city of Lar, Fars province are since the beginning of February clashes between the people of Lar and Special Guard forces.The unrest began as a result of the people’s discontent over the decision to turn Gerash, a nearby village, into a city.
Four cars and two motorcycles and the city hall building were set on fire, and numerous documents were reportedly destroyed in the fire.
A number of people suffered gunshot wounds and over 50 people were arrested.

Between the nine of moharebe accused people are 2 women (24 and 30) who are accused of association with diplomats from the German embassy by accepting green bracelets with engravings written in English that read “I Am Neda”.
One of the women is born in Manchester and has dual citizenship.
Mohammad Amin Valian, 20 member of Central Council of Islamic Association of Damghan Science University, is accused of moharebe, spreading of corruption on earth, congregation and mutiny to commit crimes against national security, propagation activities against the Islamic regime, and Insulting top regime officials.
Among other charges was the students’ active participation in the Friday Prayer, by Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Since his detainment he is in isolation and is not allowed to have visitors.
Massoud Nour Mohammadi is detained for sending e-mail and sms.
He is a member of the Participation Front and worked for Mousavi’s presidential campaign. He was arrested 2 weeks ago.

Mehdi Islamian, 30 was arrested May 3rd and was tortured in Evinprison by striking electric cable against the soles of feet, back or other sensitive parts of the body; blows with fists and kicks to his head, face, chest or stomach, or other parts of his body, while he was strapped to a chair; injection or forced ingestion of mind-altering drugs; insults, intimidation, and other similarly inhuman acts.
He was accused of involvement in the bombexplosion in Shiraz, and to admit to having lent financial assistance to his brother for political means.
He was finally charged with moharebe, spreading corruption on earth, attempts to dismantle the Islamic Republic of Iran, membership in a kingdom assembly, and his influential financial aid toward anti-revolution groups, and he was given death sentencing.
22 april 2009 was his brother Mohsen (21) along with Ali-Asghar Pashtar and Roozbeh Yahyazadeh hanged in Adelabadprison for the explosion in Shiraz.
February 2nd are the frequenters of Ghoba Mosque in Shiraz attacked by Basijforces who threw rocks and stones.
Many people were injured. In the last months pro-government elements in plain clothes have often attacked supporters of the reformist Ayatollah Dastgheib.

The Mourning Mothers issued a statement in which they condemn the exections and ask revocation of the death sentences for political prisoners.
They warn Iran not to repeat the 1980’s catastrophe. In 1988 thousands of political dissidents were executed.

De High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton has published a statement concerning Iran.
The EU strongly condemns the executions Jnuary 28, 2010 of Mohammed Reza Alizamani and Arash Rahmani and expresses its profound concern at the death sentences imposed on persons tried in the mass trials.
The EU opposes the death penalty, whatever the circumstances.
The EU calls on the Iranian authorities to suspend the sentences passed and to declare a moratorium on all forms of capital punishment.

Student Yashar Darolshafa is arrested in his house in Tehran on February 3rd. His whereabouts are unknown.
Bahar Tarakameh is arrested February 4, she is the sister of filmstudent and documentarywriter Ardavan Terakameh who was arrested on Ashura (December 27, 2009).Their father is Younes Terakameh, writer and critic.
Member of Mothers for Peace Mahin Fahimi and some of her guests were arrested on Ashura. Her son, Omid Montazeri is arrested December 28 when he went to the office of the Ministry of Intelligence to seek information about the arrest of his mother and his friend Ardavan Terakameh.

Iran: arrests
The International Committee Against Executions (ICAE) published a report saying that Iran prevents the names of political prisoners at risk of execution from being released.
Currently are 56 political prisoners in danger of being executed.
The list includes 21 people from Kurdistan, 12 people from Sistan and Baluchestan, 12 people from Ahvaz, and 11 people from Tehran.

Iran: not justified
The court in The Hague ruled February 3rd, that the decision of the Dutch government to ban Iranian students from certain locations in The Netherlands (like the nuclear researchreactors in Delft and Petten, the nuclear plants at Borssele, Urenco and COVRA) as to refuse them at certain parts of masterdegrees at Technical Universities in Nederland , is contrary to the prohibition of discrimination ( article 26 of IVBPR) because an objective and reasonable justification for distinction to Iranian nationals is missing.

Since 21 days Alireza Firoozi and Sourena Hashemi, two students from Tehran,are missing.
Since they left to visit Tabriz, nothing is heard from them, although the GPS-track from Alireza Firoozi's mobile phone indicates he is in Tehran.
His family has applied to all courts, public prosecutor offices, military and security organisations in Tehran but as yet no one has provided any official information about the missing students.

The wife, son and daughter from Saeed Pourazizi, chief editor of the banned Bahar paper, were all three wounded during the Ashuraprotests.
The son had a serious headinjury which needed surgery. After that he was arrested.

International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reports that they are detained in isolation in ward 209 of Evinprison. They have had no access to a lawyer and they have been allowed no visit by their family. They were allowed to one brief telephone call they used to inform relatives they had been arrested.

The blog Persian2English writes that Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran (HRDAI) reported (fa) that on the evening before the execution of Arash Rahmanipour and Mohamdreza Alizamani a video was played with false confessions in an attempt to justify the crime of executing them.
In the video, four other political prisoners who were tortured were forced to confess.
The four prisoners who were arrested late October are Mahmoud Dolatabadi, Mehdi Saeidi, Abaas Vali Khani, and Borzu Kamrani.
Since then they are in solitary confinement. They were told that they were freed if they sign a confession and pay $30.000 bail.
HRDAI sent the report January 29, 2010 to:The [UN] High Commissioner for Human Rights, the European committee for Human Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
