Iran: crossing borders

According to the Washington Post was Haleh Esfandiari allowed to leave Tehran early this morning and flew to Austria.
After eight months she was to be met by her husband.
August 21 she was released on bail from Evinprison. She was detained on accusation of espionage.


In province Kurdestan are two cases of cholera reported.
In northern Iraq cholera is epidemic for some time and health officials think it has managed to pass its way to those living on border villages.
Authorities advise to avoid unnecessary crossing of the border, the use of unsafe water and eating vegetable and fruit that are not properly washed and disinfected.



Iran has imposed a curfew on the border near Mehran with Iraq.
Mehran is the most frequented border point for pilgrims entering Iraq.
The border has been closed for Iranian pilgrims who intend to visit Iraq's holy sites due to security concerns but will not affect Iraqi national visiting Iran.
