Iran: extreme

At an explosion in the cultural centre Rahpouyan-e Vessal of Shohada Hosseiniyeh mosque in Shiraz Saturday, are according to IRNA 11 people killed and 191 people wounded. Although initial reports said the blast was caused by a bomb, authorities insist it was an accident.
Previously there was an exhibition to commemorate the Iran-Iraq war(1980-1988) and the explosion could be come from negligence.

Fars newsagency said that a local imam had been preaching for eveningprayers when the explosion occurred.
He held a sermon against Wahhabism, the ultra-conservative form of Sunni Islam ,and in his sermon, he had also attacked Bahais, a group who were once by far Iran's biggest non-Muslim minority but nowadays seen as apostates and their beliefs are not recognised by the constitution.



Akram Mahdavi, 32 is sentenced to death for the murder on her 74-year-old husband after a second arranged marriage was forced upon her by her family.
She is since 5 years in Evin prison.
The family of the victim requests 45,000 euros for bloodmoney.
