Iran: check

According to Amir Kabir Newsletter four detained Azeri political and cultural activists begun a hungerstrike October 25th.
They were arrested September 10th in Tehran during a fast-breaking session. Their names are:
Alireza Sarafi, managing editor and owner of the banned paper Dlimaj and a member of Peace National Council, Saeed Mohammadi (aka. Moghanlo), a journalist and managing editor of the weekly paper Yarpagh, Hasan Rashedi, writer and a journalist and Mehdi Naimi, a teacher of the Azeri language.
They all are in solitary confinement in section 209.

The representant of Pakdasht, Tehran province, Bashiri demanded a closed door session to review the issues related to safety in society. According to a reporter of Khaneh Melat, Bashiri stated that last week a number of papers reported that in South Tehran 30 women were kidnapped and in Khuzestan province 14 women were murdered. He said that this is an important issue and it is necessary for the parliament to take all necessary actions.

A court in Tehran did sentence in appeal Zeinab Peyghambarzadeh to one year suspended sentence for the period of three years. During these three years, Zeynab is required to report to the office of Intelligence Ministry every 4 months.
Zeinab Peyghambarzadeh is the first member of the OneMillionSignaturesCampaign to be arrested while collecting signatures. She has yet to receive a sentence in this case.
This case is related to the appealcase. Originally she was sentenced to 2 years suspended prison term for the period of 5 years but the appeal court has reduced the original sentence, but imposes a requirement for her to report to the intelligence ministry every 4 months.

This level of supervision and control of social activists is unprecedented and women’s rights activists continue to object to these mechanisms for control.
Before this, Amir Yaghoubali was sentenced similarly, where he has to report to intelligence ministry every 4 months.

In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.
