Iran: shaking human rights

Today is International Human Rights Day.

Tuesday the island Qeshm was struck for the third time in three days by an earthquake measuring 5.1 on Richterscale.
The earthquake happened 18.39 hrs local time near Bandar laft.
No further information is known.



For some weeks there are unofficial report about the arrestation of the Iranian-Canadian blogger Hossein Derakhshan in Iran.
Although Iranian authorities did not confirm the arrestation, the spokesman of Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) said to the Canadian newspaper The Globe that the Canadian embassy is pressing the Iranian authorities to confirm whether or not this Canadian is, in fact, being detained.



In Iran there are childoffenders, still on death row.

Children are being hanged to death.
