Iran: unauthorized

Somalian pirates released the Iranian vessel which was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen in November.
The vessel was released Friday and is now heading towards Iran.
The vessel was carrying 36,000 tons of wheat from Germany to Iran and sails under HongKongflag.
All 25 crewmembers are safe, there was no mention if a ransome was paid.


Ten of worlds top banks are accused of moneylaundering for Iran.
The Districts Attorney for Manhattan said Friday that the ten banks, including British-based Lloyds laundered "billions of dollars" for Iran through New York banks.
Lloyds admitted it laundered $300 million and agreed to pay a $350 million fine and open its books to investigators. If records show that the bank knew it was helping Iran break international law or foster terrorism, Lloyds could face criminal prosecution.
The names of the other banks were not identified. The moneylaundering started 13 years ago and ran through 2007. Lloyds also washed money for Sudanese banks, even though financial dealings with both governments are prohibited by international sanctions.

Iranian broadcaster Al-Alam said an Israelian rocket striked the Mediabuilding in Gaza, where the televisionstations are.
Two people got wounded at this strike.
According to Israelian reports the building is not a target, though it may have sustained "collateral damage".
Press-TV reported that equipment, including satellite transmission devices installed on the roof, was damaged.



In the Iranian internetscene circulates a video.
This video shows a robed cleric on a hidden camera in a private room who lets in a woman in chador. After this he asks if nobody saw her and the clothes come off.
In Iran this video has caused a scandal. The cleric is apparently a member of the Friday Prayers Committee in Hamadan province.
Reports say this is a married cleric, so this could be a punishable extramarital affair.
The video was leaked through an office of the Intelligence Ministry.
