A specialist in poverty, development and economy says that between 29 and 33 percent of Iranians live under the "absolute poverty" line.
ILNA reported that the figures on oil revenues, presented by the President, which pegged Iran's income as USD 211b in the year ending March 20, 2009, are unrealistic, as the income will show a total of USD 265b.
The difference, he says, is because the sales of natural gas and related material were not included in the total income figure.
According to him the initiatives undertaken by the government show that it is impossible for the government to distribute oil revenue to the people.
