Iranian policechief Esmail Ahmadi-Moghaddam said Tuesday that the opposition is "inciting sedition" and that his force would act firmly to uphold the law.
Without mentioning any names he said that this group of individuals voice the slogan of law abidance but they themselves do not observe the law.

Mir Hossein Mousavi said that the amount spent on the campaign was around USD 3.5 million at the very most, Mehdi Karroubi had also spent roughly the same amount or less.
He said that authorities had asked one of his detained campaign staff to confess that he had received USD 4 million from the Mousavi camp.
He accused Iran's national broadcaster, saying it "makes up false and fictional accounts and writing scenarios.
According to him Iran needs "free media" to reverse the growing "appeal of foreign media" which is a side effect of the "lack of press freedoms" and the national broadcaster's "mistaken" approach.
Despite having clearance from judicial officials to print his newspaper Kalameye Sabz or "Green Word", its offices were closed down and its journalists are still in detention.
He called for an immediate release of all arrested.
